3 months!

Charlie is officially 3 months old! He is so aware of his surroundings, has found his hands and his feet and is even starting to put things in his mouth with his hands! He's very social, and chats with us a lot! Unfortunately anytime we bring the camera near he stops. We'll catch him one of these days and post!

Welcome Eloise "Ellie" Johnson! She came over for lunch one day with her mom Micky. I was not happy when she tried to hang out in my crib with me, but isn't she pretty!?? (I hope I didn't scare her away!)

week 12

I can hardly believe its been 12 weeks since our little "turklet" has been out in the world... God is amazing and we feel so incredibly blessed with this little man. Here he's wearing a"hand-me-down" t-shirt from yours truly... snoopy was always a favorite of mine.





Lately Charlie...
- is still pulling his own hair and screaming!!!--- we try not to ever let him do this, but sometimes he does it when we're not looking! -- poor thing

- has an "I'm bored now come get me now" cry/whine

- can hit/kick his animals on his playmat

- loves his changing table - he talks to us the most here

- still likes ina garten and still gets peeved when the commercials show up --we're watching her now because he was bored on his playmat--- he's perfectly quiet and happy now!

- kicks wildly in his baths

- has started to squeal while smiling!

- shows a big frown before he starts crying, OR will just frown...

- will cough to get our attention

- can click and smack his tongue to imitate us

Such a cute snowsuit, but not a happy guy! Well, he was happy once we started walking, but seriously, how cute is he?! We try to walk when the sun is out!

happy valentine's day!

We were thankful to be able to go out for a valentine's day dinner - Thank you Grandma Arzu and team for watching Charlie! It was so nice to spend some quality time with Alp! :)



We always celebrate valentine's day at our favorite italian restaurant. - This was our first dinner together 5 years ago, and now its a tradition we go every year! - it all started with a box of dark chocolates, gorgeous flowers and a turtle cake! Alp is such a sweetie!

week 11

g'day mate!

I got some good time with my buddy Ryder Rose. We have a lot in common- both of our dads are from other countries! - While I am part turk, Ryder is part aussie! He even taught me to "cough" to get mommy's attention. Ryder was doing this when he came over and I kid you not- that night Charlie started doing the same thing... little monkey....

Will invited me over to hang out the other day. Little did I know there would be some ladies there. I got to hang with Allie and also a new girl Evelyn! I also got to meet a new guy Whit and my old friend Charlie P was there! - We had so much fun. I think the mommies had more fun changing us around and turning us into baby pinwheels. I can't wait for more fun with this crew!

week 10

Since Charlie is so strong I thought we'd see how he sits up in his bumbo seat... not bad for 2 months old! Also the perfect place to watch his cooking shows. He seems pretty pleased with himself!

What a great week we had! We cooked, (well auntie and grammy cooked)-- we snuggled, we watched lots of barefoot contessa and learned to cook.
